Dr. McCoppin is a board certified dermatologist and fellowship trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon. She received additional surgical training during her Mohs fellowship under the guidance of Dr. Carl Washington, a renowned skin cancer and reconstructive surgery expert at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

There is no substitute for experience. Focusing primarily on dermatologic surgery has allowed Dr. McCoppin to provide a high level of surgical expertise to her patients. She has performed over 6,000+ Mohs and dermatologic surgery procedures since starting practice in 2011.

Process

Mohs surgery is a technique developed by Dr. Frederic Mohs for the removal of skin cancers. It provides complete microscopic examination of all of the tissues removed, along with detailed mapping techniques, giving patients the highest cure rate, while minimizing local scarring.
